Sticks

Sticks — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 4 July 2026

App: Sticks (com.sticks.cricket)

Developer / contact: Sam — support@sticks.camera

Sticks is a cricket coaching app: it records your batting practice,

analyses your body position on your phone, and gives you spoken

coaching feedback. This policy describes exactly what data the app

handles and where it goes. It is written to match what the app

actually does, not what apps generically do.

The short version

generate coaching feedback.

app work better. No video, no pose data, no personal profile.

What stays on your phone

Stored only on your device; automatically deleted after 14 days.

A clip leaves your phone only if you explicitly use the Share

button.

replay.

What leaves your phone, and why

1. Pose-derived feature numbers (around 15 measurements per shot:

e.g. head position relative to front foot, backlift angle, timing

between phases). These are sent through our server to an AI

language-model provider to generate your coaching script, and the

script is sent to a speech-synthesis provider to produce the

coach's voice. These payloads contain no video, no images, and no

information identifying you.

2. Usage analytics (PostHog, hosted in the United States): events

such as "session started", "shot captured", "coaching replayed",

with counts and timings. Identified by a device-generated random

ID, not by your name or any account.

3. Crash reports (Sentry, hosted in Germany): technical stack

traces when the app crashes. No video or pose content is attached.

Telemetry (analytics + crash reports) can be disabled; pre-release

builds honour an in-app opt-out switch, and the released app will

expose it in Settings. You can also email us to have analytics data

associated with your device ID deleted.

What we never do

players.

Face data

Sticks does not collect or process face data, and performs no facial recognition, face mapping, face geometry, or identity detection of any kind. The app analyses your batting with on-device body-pose detection (skeletal joint positions); a small number of those landmarks locate the head (nose, eyes, ears) purely as points in the body skeleton — not a face. No face data is created, stored, shared, or sent to any third party, and none is retained beyond the on-device clip, which auto-deletes after 14 days.

Children

Sticks is a practice tool often used by families. It requires no

account, collects no names, emails, or profiles, and the analytics

described above are not used for advertising. Children should use

Sticks with a parent or guardian's supervision and consent.

Payments

The Pro subscription is processed entirely by Apple through

App Store in-app purchase. We do not see or store your payment

details.

Android beta early-access list (website only)

The app still collects no account and no email. Separately, if you choose to enter your email address in the Android early-access form on this website (sticks.camera), we store it so we can invite you to the Android beta.

Providing your email is entirely voluntary and is not required to use Sticks.

Data retention and deletion

immediately if you delete the app.

their standard retention; email us to request deletion of data

tied to your device ID.

immediately on request to support@sticks.camera.

Legal basis and jurisdiction

Sticks is developed in Australia and handles personal information in

accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Australian Privacy

Principles). For users in other regions, the same minimal-collection

posture applies.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the in-app first-run flow will

say so before you record anything new.
